fashion{ish} post #4 & something that REALLY matters!

super excited to share this with you all today!

when i worked as an elementary teacher, i had the privilege of working with Stephanie Havener.  She has a family, a passion for teaching and a heart for orphans.  She started a ministry because she had for years put off her dream of living with orphans, in Uganda specifically. after battling cancer, she learned to live her dreams now–in the present. she felt a passion to spend her time on things that will matter for eternity–which is ALWAYS people and relationships. When she brought this orphanage, with hungry little tummies, to several organizations they turned her away. so she started her own.  Stephanie’s two main goals through Outlandish Love Ministries is to improve the lives of the people of Jinja, Uganda and to make a way for Americans to help even when they don’t know how.

well, tomorrow evening (Thurs. April 26), Stephanie’s organization is hosting their first fundraiser dinner and silent auction.  some of my new “i {heart} africa” necklaces will be there up for grabs!

if you are local, check it out and we would love to see you there!  if you’re not local and still want to help, check out the ways to support them, HERE.
