ever have a day where the overcast lighting is perfect,
the outfits are pristine and gorgeously vibrant,
the setting is basically calling your name,
you’re in a great mood for photographing,
but your subjects just WON’T SIT STILL!?
or
LOOK AT THE CAMERA FOR ANYTHING?
yep, that was my photo day attempt–we were still trying to get an easter-outfit shoot done and so many of the photos just came out blurry (they kept running away) and not as sharp and vibrant as i was hoping for.
so i took it upon myself to make a few quick edits and voila!—i take what i can get!
too soft of a focus, but the only one where he is looking and sort of smiling.
this was my best attempt of a photo of the two of them together
AND both looking in the ‘direction’ of the camera–
AND not trying to strangle each other.
it’s asking a lot, i know.
Quick Edits:
1. my Go-To photoshop edit trick
2. the eye sharpen “Pop” from The Pioneer Woman’s tutorial (so easy, fast and works wonders!) in Photoshop Elements
3. anything in PicMonkey! (really great and FREE!–i like the teeth whitening and faux tan features for me)

I love that last picture of the two of them! H looks SO pretty!
I love your shots. PicMonkey is my favorite! I’m still figuring out Photoshop with all its neat tricks and gadgets, maybe I should take a class on it all!
I think your photos are lovely! We’re our own worst critics, especially when we have an idea in our head about how things are supposed to look and it doens’t work out that way.
I’ve been looking for a new photo editing alternative since Picnik went away. I’m going to check these out! Thanks!
A great series of pics, love the edits too, thanks for hosting

Love that dress!
you’re kiddos are so sweet
These are all adorable. It’s hard to photograph small kids for sure, especially when you have in mind what you want. I just started to play around with PICmonkey but will have to look into it more. I miss the collage feature of Piknick and am anxiously waiting for them to get the collage feature up. Really want to take a class in Photoshop at some point…maybe for my Christmas present next year. This year my goal was to start shooting in manual mode and that is coming along!
omg, those are the cutest little ones ever!

Well they’re little cuties whether they sat still for the pictures or not. Kids are always so much fun and challenging to photograph. And pic monkey is so much fun! Linking up with you for the first time today, as I just discovered your blog. Thanks for hosting.
