DIY bridal shower brunch.

Last weekend, I traveled to IN for my good friend Audrey’s bridal shower.  It was a small brunch themed around her wedding colors (red and damask).  I had to google how to pronounce “damask”–do it if you haven’t.  It’s really funny to hear the guy say “Dam–ask.”

For the food, we had a breakfast casserole, donut tower “cake,” chocolate covered strawberries, muffins, a yogurt bar with various fruits and granola.  The drinks included coffee and strawberry, blackberry, blueberry-infused water (wow, the water was surprisingly good!).

For the donut tower cake:  I started the base with 9 mini white donuts in a circle and then filled in the middle with 4 more.  The next layer was topped on the bottom circle (scoot toward the middle just a bit for each layer) and filled in with 3 in the middle.  I continued up the tower in this similar fashion.  Some of the layers had to have cut donuts to fill in the middle section.  The fondant roses are from Micheal’s cake section.

I found this He Said, She Said game idea on pinterest via HERE & HERE and created my own version using the actual silhouettes of the bride and groom.  Before the shower, I asked the bride and groom various questions and then I picked some to use for the game.  The guests had to guess which one of them said each quote.

The centerpieces were DIY paper roses with sticks in mason jars .  I tied them with jute string and they looked great!  The table runner is simply damask wrapping paper.  I borrowed some vintage snack sets for the plates and cups which added some antique charm to the tablescape.

These DIY cream cheese mints were found HERE and were amazingly easy and SO good!  I will be making them often in the future.

It was such a fun day to celebrate Audrey and her upcoming marriage!  Thanks for letting me be a part of it!
