wanna be friends?

when i started fifth grade, it was a big deal.

mostly because the two small primary elementary schools came together in the intermediate 5/6th grade school and that meant a whole new group of kids to befriend.

of course, i was nervous and…. shy (shocker!).

but i’m forever grateful for one blonde-haired, blue-eyed girl who came right on up to me in all my awkward-boy-haircut-glory and whispered those priceless words:

“I’m Ashli, –want to be friends?”

and that was it.

we were and still are friends for life!

Ashli (middle)  Megan (friends since preschool)

we just “happened” to have our girls within one month of each other!

that was a LONG time ago, but those simple words still have so much power and beauty.  i’m extending them to you TODAY.

“i’m Andi—-want to be friends?  want to learn from each other?  want to support each other’s small business ventures?  want to encourage each other through this beautifully, hard life?”

if so, consider advertising with The Hollie Rogue in July.

this month, i’m going to try and set up a google chat date with my sponsors where we can just share our hearts and questions and truly get to know each other better.

it will be FUN and hopefully HELPFUL as well.

if you want in, send me an email at thehollierogue (at) gmail.  Only Large spots are open and they are $8.00!  Limited spots available.

  1. Such a cute story! That’s pretty much how I became friends with my best friend now–all the way back in preschool!

  2. I loved this! everyone always says that you won’t keep the same friends…you just proved them all wrong!
