some small changes.

for me, blogging, was/is never about making money.

in the beginning, i started taking “sponsors” and did guest posts and giveaways for FREE.  i loved doing that and made so many wonderful friends through that process.  but then, like many of us, i got crazy busy with it all, overwhelmed, and started freaking out (how shall we say it)…..A LOT.

i used to take as many people as wanted to pop over into my sidebar.  again, OVER.whelmed.  (now, i only accept 8 per month)

you know why?  because i’m a perfectionist (shocking, right?) and i couldn’t stand the thought of people trusting me with their advertising and me not being able to give my full attention and effort to them.

that’s why, this month, i didn’t take any sponsorships (thanks to everyone who wanted to sponsor, anyway), because i knew my life would be crazy and because i was taking a little break from the blog.

i would rather make $0 than not give my sponsors their money’s worth.

why am i telling you this?

simply because i wanted to announce that the fall rates are up and my sponsor/supporter mode is back up and running!  i’m still super reasonably priced and really do support my sidebar friends in multiple ways.

some new things this fall are:

1.  a group google chat/hangout (optional)–super low key and just a way to encourage each other and get to know each other on a more “real” note.

2.  large ad sponsors will also get a mini-tid bit on the bottom of a post throughout the month, along with the “worth your read” group post and giveaway.  this equals MORE exposure!

3.  and as always, i love promoting my sponsors through social media and pinterest.
