i seriously think it’s pretty amazing that we, humans, figured out how to put really heavy machines in the air (and keep them there). technology is general, astounds me and i often catch myself saying “when i was young…..all we had were “zach morris” phones and now look at those mini computers we all carry around!”
perhaps, i somewhere along the line i got old, or maybe, it really is amazing how fast things develop and change.
today, we skipped the beach and visited the Wright Brother’s National Memorial where the first planes were flown. It was a beautiful day and even the kids seemed to enjoy it.
on the way up the long path toward the hill where the monument sits, Sister said, “Look, i can see God in there!” we pushed her a bit to explain and she said that God made that mountain and she can see Him in it. whether or not she could, her innocence and awe of her amazing God is a lesson for us all.
i’m linking up with Emily today for “Embrace the Camera” since i actually got in a picture!

I absolutely love that sister said that she can see God in there (the mountains or wherever) I love the beautiful faith like innocence
I can’t wait for Judah to point and tell me these things (when he can talk more)
Also I remember when I was in like 1st grade my teacher telling us how we are going to all have phones that we don’t plug into walls. I remember thinking he was trying to trick us and here I am walking around with a mini computer/phone (iPhone)
What precious times together!
We loved this museum when we visited OBX a few years ago. We must get back there next summer!!!
Oh wow, I didn’t even know that there was a memorial there! That’s pretty cool. And airplane technology is pretty amazing–I’m still in wonder every time I fly, even though I occasionally complain about 16 hour flights….it sure beats crossing the ocean in a boat!
