i’m so thankful that my kids are and have always been easy to warm up to new people. i always joke that Sister would probably walk away with a stranger if they had candy (she LOVES candy) and trusts everyone. while it’s a scary thought, her trusting nature is also a blessing when it comes to dropping off at sunday school or sports classes, etc. neither one of them has ever cried for me when i leave them with a babysitter.
now, i could start feeling like, “poor me, my kids must not love being with me” OR i could embrace their independent, self-assured personalities and believe that they trust i will always come back for them. `
we had such a fun couple of days earlier this week with jon’s aunt and uncle from california. the kids loved hanging out with them and cuddled in their laps at every opportunity. thanks for spending time with us, George and Barb!
