it’s monday, it’s the week before thanksgiving, and it’s time for an-all-time favorite friend of mine to give away something beautiful!
i’m so thankful to have met Nat in real-life and become instant friends. we stalk each other daily and daydream about being neighbors someday (i’m pretty sure our ex-band-playing husbands would be friends too). she’s really got the most caring and generous heart around and her “tell your story” post from friday had me in tears, but also rejoicing for the way God has used her life and redeemed the pain.
today, nat is generously giving away one of her hand-embroidered hoops that reads “Home Sweet Home” (fitting, because we just settled into our new house!).
here’s just a bit more about the beautiful, Nat from Take the Cannoli:
Nat sees everyday as a new day. Some days are fabulous while others require extra mascara to help accentuate the only thing she has going for her because she is rocking her pajamas all day. Though she has no idea what each day will bring she does know God is faithful and good.
Lamentations 3:22-23 says “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are New Every Morning; great is Thy faithfulness”
And so she blogs about the everyday: the good, the bad and sometimes ugly. You’ll find touches of crafts, fashion and DIY projects. If she is feeling really spunky, she may even toss in a recipe here and there.
Through blogging Natalie has opened up about life as a stay-at-home mama (the joys and sorrows) and talks about both the struggles and triumphs she has gone through. This year has already been amazing for Nat and she has been blessed by new friendships and opportunities through her blog. She has gained perspective on who she used to be, discovered who she is now, and caught glimpses of the woman she is becoming. Out of this little ol’ blog an online shop was born. Nat owns a shop filled with hand-stitched lovelies (a.k.a embroidered hoop art) which started as her therapeutic outlet. The pieces in her collection are inspired by affirmations, scriptures and any other thing that brings joy along the way! Nat’s hope is that these hoops will be a blessing to others as they are displayed in homes, work spaces and craft stations!
(and i will add to this, when you hear Nat talk about each piece, you can hear in her voice just the love and joy she gets from creating these special, meaningful pieces for her customers. God has opened doors for her and helped her business succeed because she is really bringing glory to His name through her work!)
