i love having something to look forward to so i thought it would be fun to do a “bring on the Spring” bucket list of sorts and plan one simple activity for the kids or the family to enjoy each day until Easter. here’s our list, but it will change and morph, i’m sure–and i’m totally ok with that!
1. daddy brings home peeps and jelly beans for a surprise treat (check!)
2. trip to ikea for some breezy, new window treatments (check!)
3. fresh robin’s egg blue coat of paint in the entrance way (check!)
4. feet butterfly paintings
5. plant wildflowers in painted pots
6. insect game
7. make homemade yellow playdough and make baby chicks
8. spring colored pancakes
9. have a tea party outside
10. make a bird house
11. nature scavenger hunt
12. spring photo shoot
13. go to the skyline drive and eat kentucky fried chicken (a family tradition!)
15. egg heads with growing hair
16. make spring shaped sugar cookies and decorate
17. st. patrick’s day (eat green foods and have green cool-aid for lunch)
18. cherry blossom paintings using a 2 liter bottle of coke
19. visit the DC cherry blossom festival
20. create “happy spring” cards and send to grandparents
21. shaving cream easter egg art
22. spring blossom popcorn art
23. start prepping the garden
24. paint easter eggs
25. easter egg lunch hunt
26. spring cleaning with kids (chores for all ages)
27. streamer rainbow art
28. make easter treats for our easter luncheon
29. origami butterflies
30. family Easter celebration
31. church Easter celebration
